Catherine Carney Brodeur specializes in treating children, adolescents and their families through individual play and behavior therapy, as well as family therapy. She has extensive experience evaluating and assisting children and adults with ADHD and the difficulties associated with this disorder. In addition, she has specialty training working with children on the autistic spectrum, particularly those individuals with disorders of social competence.(i.e. Asperger’s Disorder and NonVerbal Learning Disorder).
As a licensed psychologist, Catherine conducts psychoeducational evaluations of adults and children. These evaluations can be used by schools during the IEP process, as well as by other medical professionals involved in treating our clients. Often times, parents disagree with evaluation results provided by school personnel. When this occurs, parents can request an independent evaluation from a licensed psychologist and this evaluation becomes a part of their child’s plan. For further information about this process, please contact Dr. Brodeur directly.
